The Senate on Wednesday made its first stab at overhauling the nation’s health care system in the Obama era, with Republicans demanding specific cost totals amid eye-popping estimates of $1 trillion-plus and Democrats determined to press ahead. (June 17)

Overhauling the nation’s health care system is a bad idea… SAY NO!
The Obama plan hopes to offer a public option, it’s called competition, the thing Republicans claim to support. It’s what you have in a truly free market, you have choices, and if the people choose the public option the private Insurance companies will have to lower their prices to compete, or they go out of business. That’s called a free market: what part of that do you not understand?
One free start is to look in the mirror and see that you are one big fat load…should it surprise you if you have diabetes or high blood pressure? You don’t need to go to a Dr for that…just a pair of eyes. Why should I pay for your laziness and crappy eating habits?
As for the American public, the reality that Obama is not up to the job seems to finally be setting-in; the poll numbers are now headed steadily south- is he already facing his Waterloo on this legislation?
Barack Obama will never say to your face what he actually plans to do. Everything’s rolled-out in a Trojan horse. Theyll be no private insurance industry left after five years. Why should we give Government medical insurance to 15 million illegals?
Eric Cantor pampered GOP Crime Family Princess sucking government healthcare benifits from taxpayer premeiums. But this sniveling filthy Likud-OPEC-GOP-POS says that Amercians can’t have “dangerous” government run healthcare benefits, like those we buy for his soft pampered GOP criminal ass. All GOP criminals and their corporate owned DEM insect facilitators need waterboarding for months then to be hunted as his crime family cheers for abortion doctors.

You are absolutely right about illegal immigration. Every state Medicaid program is overburdened with illegals sucking all the funds out of them. The poor citizens of each state is short changed due to the limited funds.

Several VA’s did not disinfect their colonscopy equipment. Several Veterans now have Hepatitis & HIV.

It’s going to be so great when our hospitals are like the DMV and the VA hospital. I can’t wait till we hand over the government more control of our lives and health. Oh my, the insurance companies are horrible. Annually, I get the letter that the rates are going up. I do shop the price, but it can sometimes be a futile effort. If only a few things could be done to improve the health care, just bringing down the rates, and doing something about pre-existing conditions would be a BIG effort. We already pay the bulk of our employee plan, but have had to adjust deductibles, etc at times to keep it in line.
I bet we end up with Co-Ops…Some by state and some regional so as to reach that magic number of 500K in order to compete with Insurance companies.
Something has to be done to bring the Insurance Companies into check…I know you support the right but you have to admit the Insurance Companies are raping everyone!
I agree, many small businesses need all the help they can get…Obama understands this and the stimulus bill contained Capital Gains Tax reliefs for investing in small business, doubled the amount for equipment write offs, Some hiring tax benefits and several other measures aimed at SB.
However, Tax Cuts have to be targeted and have guidelines for qualifying especially with bigger business…Much of the savings is invested overseas.

Mass plan does not work. Health care in the US is too expensive and does not provide quality health care. Health care insurance mandates is killing US small business
It looks like the Health insurance industry OWNS congress. The Insurance idnustry rips off 20%-30+ of health care dollars, without providing anything in return.

Now Now….. speak for yourself!!!! I care what Eric Cantor has to say and I believe that tax cuts for small businesses will fix the economy. I hope that this new health care initiative doesn’t force small businesses to pay for insurance, which could put many out of business. I know that many of my clients would be hurt by this.
there is footage of obama on youtube saying just that. This was done before he was elected. He then wanted single payer and said private would ideally be fazed out. Be careful who you call names like that…….. it bounce back and bite you.
The trillion dollar price tag may be the way Repubs come back to Congress.
